Treatment of pulpitis
Algorithm for treating pulpitis
Pulpit tooth – sometimes the treatment is carried out in several visits, which depends on the number of root canals in the tooth and the clinical picture that the patient applied to Dental-Euro dentistry. Usually treatment of dental pulpitis with two or more canals is carried out in three visits .. In any case, a permanent seal on the tooth should be done in a separate visit, but not immediately after filling the root canal. Below, we will consider the algorithm for treatment of pulpitis multichannel tooth in three visits.
How much does pulpitis cost?
If you raise this question, let’s say so by phone, then you are unlikely to get a specific answer, since in order to name the exact amount it is not enough to calculate the cost of carrying out all stages. To do this, it is necessary to specify what composition of the old seal, the type of seal you want to put, whether the pin for the quality of filling the seal, how many canals in the tooth (for each patient this figure is purely individual) and whether there is a need to further install on the tooth crown? To increase the cost of treatment can themselves teeth, or rather their anatomical structure of channels. Therefore, to get an exhaustive answer to the question how much it costs to treat pulpitis can be only after a personal visit to the clinic and consultation with the dentist.
First visit:
- Anesthesia.
Does it hurt to treat pulpitis? (Of course it’s painful, if not anesthetized …) Modern anesthetics can completely deprive patients of unpleasant sensations. - Drill all the carious tissues with a drill.
First – at this stage, all carious tissues are removed. Secondly, the healthy tissues of the tooth, in particular all the tissues of the tooth over the pulp chamber and the mouths of the root canals, are partially removed. This is necessary to ensure visualization of the root canal mouth and the convenience of their processing tools. - Isolation of the tooth from saliva.
This is done with cofferdama. Isolation is necessary so that in the root canals, along with the saliva, there is no infection from the oral cavity - Removal of the pulp, or its necrotic residues from the crown of the tooth and root canals.
- Measuring the length of the root canals in the tooth.
Measurement of the length of the channels is carried out ideally with the combination of the X-ray method and the use of the apex locator - Mechanical processing of channels.
The purpose of mechanical processing is to expand the channel so that it can then be sealed qualitatively. The machining of each channel is carried out to the depth defined in the previous step. This is necessary to ensure that each root canal is sealed precisely to the top of the root. - Flushing of channels with solutions of antiseptics.
In professional language, this is called the term root canal irrigation. - At the end of the visit to the channels is laid an antiseptic, and on the tooth is placed a temporary seal.
Second visit:
- Removing temporary seals and medicines from the channels.
- Flushing of channels with solutions of antiseptics.
- Filling.
- X-ray seal control (required !!!).
- If X-ray is all OK, proceed to the next step.
- Temporary seal is placed.
Third visit:
Installing a permanent seal.
